The Coffee Connection, a chain of coffee stores which first opened in Boston's Harvard Square in 1975, was purchased by Starbucks Coffee in 1994 and run as a separate entity up until September of 1996. In the end there were 18 stores that eventually changed their name to Starbucks. This rare 14 oz mug was offered in those stores during the 2 year transition period. Both sides display The Coffee Connection logo and the base is stamped with the Starbucks siren logo. Made exclusively for Starbucks... Decorated in the USA... Made in China
