Zagreb is the capital and the largest city of the Republic of Croatia. It is located in the northwest of the country, along the Sava river, at the southern slopes of the Medvednica mountain. Zagreb lies at an elevation of approximately 122 m above sea level. The wider Zagreb metropolitan area includes the City of Zagreb and the separate Zagreb County bring the total metropolitan area population up to 1,2 million. It is the only metropolitan area in Croatia with a population of over one million. Its favourable geographic position in the southwestern part of the Pannonian Basin, which extends to the Alpine, Dinaric, Adriatic and Pannonic regions, provides an excellent connection for traffic between Central Europe and the Adriatic Sea. The transport connections, concentration of industry, scientific and research institutions and industrial tradition underlie its leading economic position in Croatia. Zagreb is the seat of the central government, administrative bodies and almost all government ministries.
Ban Jelačić Square is the central square of the city of Zagreb, Croatia, named after ban Josip Jelačić. The official name is Trg bana Jelačića. It is located below Zagreb's old city cores Gradec and Kaptol and directly south of the Dolac Market on the intersection of Ilica from the west, Radićeva Street from the northwest, the small streets Splavnica and Harmica from the north, Bakačeva Street from the northeast, Jurišićeva Street from the east, Praška Street from the southeast and Gajeva Street from the southwest. It is the center of the Zagreb Downtown pedestrian zone.

Is this Zagreb mug really a limited edition?
It is one prototype sold for 1500 EURO
Actually there are two, but the original owner kept one for his own collection. Btw, I did not win the purchase :)
Does anyone know the copyright year on the bottom of the mug, or if it has a blank bottom? Thank you very much!
I think mug is wrong
It is indeed Klaus!!!! But there is NO Croatia entry in Countries List. It will be fixed......
who is Abdul Zamani
Country: BulgariaEdition: Limited Editionis wrong !!!!!!
Changed to 08 Icon Edition, notified admins to add Croatia as a country.
Since there is no Starbucks store in Croatia or this mug being sold in any other stores, I think we should not include this mug as a regular Icon Release.
Sorin,I think you're right
I disagree, this mug clearly belongs to the Icon mug series. Otherwise other prototypes would need to be placed out of their respective series as well, which in my opinion would confuse collectors.
Why not have a seperare series for prototypes? I think the prototypes can't be part of any series, as they haven't been produced in any series. There are only a few Mugs on the market, no series production at all.
yes, we wil have a prototype series and a flag for discontinued mugs soon.
Helmut is it posible to add these two categories (prototypes-rejected and discontinued)? Several mugs are waiting to be listed ;)
There is a Zagreb mug on ebay right now. Is it possible that the mug is original Starbucks?
Possible for sure, at least the pictures do look original. Strange is the location, the factory is not in the Phillipines. But maybe the seller is working for SB Asia and located in the Phillipines...who knows. But already crazy 315 USD...and I guess it will be much higher in the end...and that there will be pictures here afterwards!
Just guess you buy it for such money, and a few month later SB opens a store in Zagreb for real...
It's the same EBay seller that just sold the Auckland mug.
I'm thinking the one who knows the max bid on Auckland would be the seller...
I'm just wondering if someone is selling off their private collection of the rare mugs.
I hardly can admit it is Icon08.... the store is not yet openI would add it to Icons when Starbucks will decide officially to enter Croatia. So far - not there....There are many more mugs never released from places there is no Starbucks now...
I can assure you that the specific mug on the listing is not a prototype. A starbucks prototype is an one piece item and has written notes and sticker on the bottom that make it different from regular mugs. At the moment, at least 4 identical mugs like this are in hands of several collectors. So, the best category for this mug is 08 Icon Edition.
Zagreb sold for 875 USD. Hopefully more will appear. Copyright year in the pictures is 2010.
Again on ebay.com BUY IT NOW US$739.00
US$719 now and going down!!!!!!grab it NOW
And this one is claimed to be "Made in 2012", the last one was "Made in 2010", so seems there were at least 2 production dates, which means it can't be prototype. My guess: these people are selling them off quickly as they have some insider information that there will be more Mugs available soon, means that SB will finally open in Zagreb.
@Wumme0815: my guess (and hope) exactly!
Baybeluga seller had made a mistake in listing claiming that Zagreb is in Greece. He corrected yesterday after i informed him (you can see he revised description and price). He obviously copied one of his previous listings and pasted pic of zagreb mug. So, I think this is the case in the specific Zagreb mug. I personally think that about 10-20 mugs have been leaked from china warehouse and are in hands of various "collectors" who try to get a deal selling them.
Is it worth the buy?
