Cologne is home to more than 30 museums and hundreds of galleries. Exhibitions range from local ancient Roman archeological sites to contemporary graphics and sculpture. Visitors crossing the Roncalliplatz to the “Brauhaus Früh” brewery and restaurant will find the Heinzelmännchenbrunnen. It’s hard to imagine a more typical Cologne landmark. The legend of the good pixies, who emerge at night to do the work of lazy people, has been affectionately passed on by Cologne natives from generation to generation for centuries.
