The mug depicts an equestrian statue of St. Wenceslas, the patron of Bohemia, which is located on Wenceslas Square in front of the National Museum. Silhouette of St. Wenceslas belongs to the best know symbols of Prague and the Czech Republic.
Similar to the previous Golden City Mug, panoramatic view of the Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge is also displayed on the 08 Icon Edition mug.

The mug is already in Prague's coffeehouses.
When are you able to upload a picture of the mug?
I've noticed one interesting thing. There are both Czech (Praha - under the Charles Bridge) and English name of the city (Prague - above the statue) depicted on mugs. As far as I know it's not common to use domestic city names on Starbucks mugs.
koeman, that has changed with the introduction of the Icon Global mugs (08 style). With the City Mugs (94 style) only Wales (Cymru) and the second (not sure about the chronology) series of Chinese mugs had the name in local language as well. The new series has *always* the name in local language on the "back" side (the one with the shadowy panorama). Look at the Chinese or Thai mugs, for example (which reminds me that I need to take decent panorama pictures from the Thai mugs - give me a few days for that). In addition, some mugs that had English names for their 94 style mugs now have local names on the 08 style mugs - from Germany they are Köln (Cologne) and München (Munich). Funny thing is that in Switzerland it went the other direction: Bern (94) became Berne (08), Zürich became Zurich (without Umlaut), and Luzern became Lucerne. Weird... ;-)
interesting comment shugs, yeah all the chinese 08 global icon mugs have the local languange on it..
Thank you so much for your help in getting this mug. My wife, who is from the Czech Republic says she believes in Santa again because this was her one true wish for Christmas! =0)
