Monterrey is the capital city of the northeastern state of Nuevo León in the country of Mexico. Fountain Of Life (Fuente de la Vida) is a large bronze sculpture dedicated to water. It is located at a height Macroplaza Padre Mier and Zaragoza at the Centre. It was designed by Spanish sculptor Luis Sanguino and was erected by the State Government in December 1984. The sculpture consists of a figure of Neptune, the ancient Roman god of the seas and oceans, and eight figures, including lions, horses and women.
